New Year's Eve 2012

I can't believe that the end of 2012 is a mere 4 and 1/2 hours away!  This year has brought many joys and tears.  Our family remained healthy this year, exceptionally blessed with this.  Our beautiful daughter has grown by leaps and bounds.  She is smart and into everything.  The boys have adjusted well to our move to Florida.  Besides being smart and good looking they make friends easily!  Patrick and I are adjusting to our new jobs and have been enjoying the Florida weather.

We lost Gma B last month but feel greatful that we got to come to Michigan this summer so Ellie could meet everyone.  In all, we hope everyone has an amazing 2013!

Update

It has been so long since I posted anything...Here is a quick run down.  I started back to work and Ellie started Day Care.  It was very hard to leave her but I see her everyday on my lunch break.  It helps to split up the day.  Some days she is asleep and never even knew I came but I know :)

Our girl was 11.5 lbs on her last check up September 8th.  She is getting so big so fast!  She is a wonderful little one.  She is sleeping through the night which has been good for her and mommy!!!!!

Week 5 update

Ellie is officially five weeks old today!  After a struggle to get back up to her birth weight we finally did last week.  Then she gain 8 more ounces this week!  She is having some blood tests completed to check a liver enzyme that has been elevated.  We will monitor this closely.

I have had my maternity leave extended to after labor day.  I am getting more and more anxious about returning to work.  I keep alternating between staying at home or going back to work...what to do, what to do...

July 5th, 2011

Well our due date came and went...

Today, we check into the hospital at 3pm.  They will do a few things today but will start Pitocin tomorrow morning.  I have been running high on emotions going between excited and nervous mostly.  I have prayed more times than I can count for the safety of this little girl and myself.  I have prayed that I get to stay with her and be there for life events that I didn't have my own mother for.

All the bags are packed, video camera charged, car seat ready and now we wait for the time when Ellie makes her big arrival.  I have been blessed beyond measure when it comes to becoming pregnant and being pregnant.  I can only hope that labor and delivery are great.  That this two vessel umbilical cord has not caused any complications.

I am already in love with this little girl...amazing really, to love someone kicks at you and sits on your bladder but you have never seen :)  I can only imagine the feelings I will have when I get to hold her.  To whomever is reading this...please pray...pray for Ellie and I to make it through this process with no complications.  To let all this worrying I have been doing for the last nine months be for nothing :)

Week 39 update

Well we went in for our ultrasound and Ellie is estimated at 8lbs, 12 oz.  Doctor said that he thinks that she might come this weekend but if not then we will be induced next Tuesday.  Thank means by 7/6 (Wednesday) at the latest we will be holding our baby girl.  I am so excited, nervous, as well as a hundred other emotions!  Feeling so blessed.  I have not had an immediate blood connection since my mom passed away 9 years ago.  Having no biological parents or siblings...the meeting of this little girl is even more special.  Please keep prayers going for her and me.  That we have a safe delivery and a healthy baby and mama.

Week 38 photo

Well I haven't shared a photo in awhile.  As you can see, Ellie has dropped a bit and hopefully is getting ready to let us see her little face.  She is getting strong and gave some very big movements last night :)  Feeling very blessed, anxious, excited, emotional, etc....

38 week check up

Patrick and I went for our 38 week check up.  My blood pressure was 100/62.  I am 80% effaced, doc says that she will probably be in there at least one more week.  We have another ultrasound scheduled for next Tuesday.  Doctor says that he will only let me go 7 days past my due date :)  Please keep the prayers coming that she is doing all she needs to do and is healthy.  Getting more and more excited to meet this little girl of ours!!!

The Nursery

So the nursery is almost done!  Patrick and I worked on it a lot this morning and I think it is turning out beautiful!  It is not too babyish but more classic and elegant.  Here is a sneak peak of what we are doing.  We will have a few more decorations to come in for the bookshelf :)  All three of the boys helped put Ellie's crib together.  Nate and Ry are already showing to be great big brothers!
