It's a girl!!! Ellie's update

Well as you can see...we are over the moon with the news of our little Ellie Havyn!  I cried and cried today when we found out it's a girl :)

We found out some other news today that I am going to ask all of you to pray about.  The doctor said that according to the Ultrasound the baby is measuring just fine.  Everything looks to be normal size (body, organs, etc...) Only thing that is different is she has a two vessel Umbilical cord instead of three.  This can be a sign of a chromosomal abnormality.  We are going up to Birmingham on Monday to see a specialist.  The specialist will be doing a targeted Ultrasound where they do very specific measurements of the baby.  We hope that everything comes back perfect.  This two vessel cord condition happens in 1% of pregnancies and 80% of the time the babies are born perfectly healthy.  We are praying that we will fit into that 80%.  That is where I need all of your extra help!  Please keep us in your positive thoughts and prayers.

I am not posting this information on Facebook as of yet.  I appreciate if you would like to talk: email, post on my blog or always give me a call.  We are trying to stay positive and focus on the fact that we have a little girl that we get to cuddle in the near future.  Thank you all for caring!!!

  1. Congrats on your precious little girl! I'm so sorry to hear about the news you received at the dr. I've had many friends go through similar situations where the initial ultrasound shows something "abnormal" and then the more indepth one shows that everything is 100% perfect. I'm sending positive thoughts your way!

I will definitely keep you and Ellie in my prayers. I'm sure she is going to be perfect.
